BEER DEMYSTIFIED – TASTING EVENT (FULLY BOOKED)

“Do you ever wonder how different beer styles arose? We will taste 8 distinct brews as an introduction to beer varieties, their ingredients, and learn why they are different and how they are made. We will also look at the history behind each style and how each beer’s vital statistics (ABV, IBU, SRM) are derived. Understand why ales are different from lagers and much more.”
Join us for Beer Mystified! Your “instructor” for Brew Ed is David Nuttall, who has worked in almost all aspects of the liquor industry since his university days. For the past 15 years, he has been concentrating on the wonderful world of beers, and has appeared on CBC Radio, and currently writes (mostly) about beer for Culinaire magazine. He is the current Judging Co-ordinator for Calgary International Beerfest and completed the Beer Judge Certification Program in 2012.
